The ECORPAS project “Design of a remotely piloted aircraft with advanced power unit based on fuel cell for environmental monitoring applications” with file number ITC-20151197, has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through of the “Intelligent Growth Operative Program 2014-2020” and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, through the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), within the framework of the FEDER INNTERCONECTA 2015 call.
This project is led by AERTEC SOLUTIONS, with the participation as partners of CESA and SKYLIFE.
The objective of ECORPAS is to develop a remotely piloted aircraft weighing less than 25 kg with high flight autonomy for environmental monitoring, which is reflected in three technological challenges:
The development of a power system based on PEM technology fuel cell that allows to increase the energy density on board.
The development of an integrated control system (energy and aircraft) that adapts trajectories in real time to optimize energy consumption.
The design and development of an aircraft specially designed to increase its autonomy, and at the same time be able to integrate the mission system necessary for environmental monitoring tasks.
Conversion, distribution and management of the power system of a UAV powered by a hydrogen cell.
