AEROEMA focuses on innovation at the actuator level. The main objective of the project is to investigate and develop electromechanical actuators for three applications in critical aeronautical systems with three levels of power, safety and functionality. The project wants to take to a TRL 4 the concepts developed in previous projects in relation to Health Monitoring and prognosis of failure, integrated in complete demonstrators.
This project provides Skylife Engineering with the decisive step in the development of proprietary technologies for obtaining electromechanical actuators oriented to the aircraft of the future, influencing the More Electrical Aircraft concept, and contributing to provide greater safety, efficiency, noise reduction , mitigation of greenhouse gases and reduction of the volume and weight of the systems embarked on the plane. As a result, the aeronautical industry is also given more competitiveness and sustainability.

Low Power Actuation System: A dual motor design with active redundancy has been included.
Capable of providing 24Nm of torque at a maximum speed of 70 deg / s with both operating engines and 35deg / s with a single motor. Mechanically irreversible, with mechanical and electrical safety stoppers.
Medium Power Actuation System: The ECU (Electronic Control Unit) is highly reliable, made with simple hardware to ensure high repeatability. Capable of controlling linear and rotary actuators.
