Aeronautic Wiring Management System
Skylife Engineering has participated in the AWIMAS (Aeronautic Wiring Management System) project, which is committed to a digital model for the wiring management of the aircraft.
The Project
The main objective of this project, within a consortium led by Airbus, is the design and development of a digital industrial replica for the management of aircraft wiring.
The project uses the Digital Industrial Mock Up (DMU) as the sole source of data, not only in the definition of the product, but also in the definition of processes and even integrating the production environment.

Benefits Obtained
The main benefit of this project is the definition of optimised manufacturing and assembly processes that maximise efficiency, resulting in improved competitiveness.
Why Skylife?
Skylife Engineering has led AWIMAS activities related to virtual reality and augmented reality for the assembly of cockpit control units and electrical fault detection in the fuselage. It has also developed electrical continuity analysis tools for aircraft wiring systems to be applied to the manufacture of wiring and harnesses and the assembly of electrical systems, as well as reflectometry techniques.
