Remote, digital assistant and training system

Background

Telepresence represents the next generation of communication applications that will significantly improve immersive experiences in both human-to-human and human-to-machine interactions by blurring the physical and virtual worlds. While this is already influencing how we work, it will have an even greater impact in the future, contributing to increased resilience to environmental disruptions, industry productivity, and energy efficiency. Due to their complexity, cost, data compression, and bandwidth requirements, these solutions have not been scaled yet.

The Project

SPIRIT, which is funded by the European Commission’s Horizon Europe programme, researches, develops, and demonstrates low-latency and scalable solutions that will ultimately bring real-time immersive telepresence into practice.

Skylife REDIA project (Remote, digital assistant and training system) is revolutionising industrial training with Skylife ULTIMATE, an innovative, remote and multiplayer solution that allows operators and technicians to train in collaborative extended reality from any location. We are evolving from telepresence to an immersive and dynamic experience where multiple users can communicate and interact in the same simulated environment, improving learning and coordination in critical environments.

This advance reduces training costs, eliminates geographical barriers and optimises knowledge transfer in sectors such as aeronautics, manufacturing and energy. Aligned with Industry 5.0, REDIA prioritises safety and operational efficiency through real-time data analytics.

The Solution

Digital assistant and virtual simulator solutions from Skylife have similar objectives to SPIRIT Platform. Using telepresence concept, we aim to reduce distances and increase interaction between people in operational environments. Skylife tools have the aim objective of changing the paradigm in operative and training procedures. In our case, we are combining training and operation tools in all-in-one solution without any barriers to use the same contents for training and for operation, taking account a multiplatform solution as extended reality glasses, laptops, web platforms or tablets.

We will change the concept of training and supported operation, a new operator will can start working directly in a new company and training will be during his/her first tasks and he/she will never know when he/she will have finished his training. For this purpose, the supported operation must be adaptable to the knowledge of the operator, reducing the number of aids and checks points when the operator progresses.

Benefits Obtained

This breakthrough represents a qualitative leap by integrating remote connectivity with advanced simulations, significantly reducing classroom training costs and downtime, while facilitating knowledge transfer between international experts and local operators. The flexibility and scalability of this solution allows it to be adapted to different sectors, from aeronautics to energy and advanced manufacturing, offering customized programs according to participants' roles and competencies.

Our approach is aligned with Industry 5.0, putting people in the middle of technological innovation. Multiplayer training not only improves operational performance, but also turns training into a strategic digital asset, with valuable data for continuous improvement of training processes and safety in the workplace. At Skylife, we continue to drive cutting-edge solutions that connect people, technology and knowledge to build the future of industrial training.

Why Skylife?

At Skylife, we continue to drive the digitisation of training, digital assistant, connecting technology, people and knowledge to transform the future of industry.

From Skylife we have the objective of putting our product in a new dimension. We have the plan to connect virtual simulator and digital assistant solutions in a new all-in-one concept to use the same tool for training, virtual experiences and operative purpose. Using concept train as operate and operate as train.

From Digitalization Department, we offer development of customized digital solutions and specific products for industry 4.0, accelerating learning curves, shortening distances or providing support in complex processes.
