Electrical Power System Technologies for Aviation Decarbonisation
R&D project aimed at investigating the enabling technologies necessary for the development of an electric propulsion system for sustainable aircraft.
The Project
The company SKYLIFE ENGINEERING, S.L. participates in the development of the project POWER - ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGIES FOR AVIATION DECHARBONISATION, whose objective is to investigate the enabling technologies necessary for the development of an electric propulsion system for sustainable aircraft. In addition to contributing to the process of aviation decarbonisation, POWER aims to cover:
- Functional and safety implications of state-of-the-art HV (high voltage) contactors.
- High-efficiency high-voltage conversion and distribution concepts
- High efficiency and power density electrical machines
- Intelligent integration, architecture and topology of electric motors and modular MCU (Motor Control Unit) to reduce overall weight.
