Antonio Muñoz, Mayor of Seville, visited yesterday the facilities of Skylife Engineering in the Cartuja Science and Technology Park, with the aim of knowing in first person the commitment of the Sevillian technology company for innovation and job creation in the city.

After last meeting in the sixth edition of the Aerospace and Defense Meetings of Seville held last June in FIBES, where Antonio Muñoz had the opportunity to discover the international dimension and specialization of Skylife in the aerospace sector, the mayor of Seville has been interested in the rest of the areas of action that the engineering company is developing as part of a broad diversification process.

During the visit, guided by the founder and president of the company, María Ángeles Martín Prats, some of the most important projects that Skylife is currently executing were presented. Specifically, the mayor of Seville was able to experience the augmented reality technologies that inspire the Digital Assistant solution, a tool aimed at optimizing resources and time for large multi-sector companies that allows remote technical assistance, IoT and artificial intelligence functionalities.

Advances in other projects in the areas of digitalization and power electronics that Skylife Engineering designs and develops for large multinational companies such as Airbus, Vodafone or Navantia, as well as for international consortiums and European public institutions were also presented.

Antonio Muñoz, who was able to greet part of the team of more than 60 highly specialized professionals that Skylife houses in its facilities, said that his already high expectations about the potential of the company had been 'far exceeded' after the visit and he was open to explore ways of collaboration with the firm, which continues to have full Spanish capital and maintains its firm commitment to the city of Seville as the center of its activity.

Skylife Engineering was born more than 10 years ago linked to the University of Seville, specifically to the School of Engineering, and has not hesitated to explore its international dimension from its roots in the capital of Seville from where, in full expansion, generates highly skilled technical employment, connecting the Andalusian talent with its activity in industrial sectors such as aerospace, energy or health.
