Aeronautic Wiring Management System: Design and Development of an Industrial Digital Replica for Aircraft Wiring Management
Skylife Engineering contributed to the AWIMAS project (2015–2018) through the development of digital tools and advanced wiring inspection techniques, improving efficiency and quality in aircraft manufacturing.
The Project
The main objective of this project, carried out within a consortium led by Airbus, is the design and development of an industrial digital replica for aircraft wiring management.
The project uses the Digital Mock-Up (DMU) as the single source of data, not only for product definition but also for process definition, while integrating the production environment.
Benefits
The main benefit of this project is the definition of optimised manufacturing and assembly processes that maximise efficiency, contributing to improved competitiveness.
Financing
The AWIMAS project was developed under the Spanish national INTERCONECTA-MINECO programme between 2015 and 2018, with a budget of 175.055,69 € allocated to Skylife Engineering and a total consortium budget of 1.297.653,60 €, in collaboration with Airbus DS, CT Ingenieros, MDU, and Aertec.
